Sansar Lacks support for Valve Index. I think i read that some have got it partially working, but i'm unable to get even partial support, The headset does not want to view Sansar at all.

DaisyWinthorpe I know you can use the controller on another head set. But valve index headset is troublesome.

TomahawkJackson C'mon guys - get it together!
I've got this fancy $1000 headset and a PC that I spent a good chunk of money on to get good framerates, AND I'm all set with Marvelous Designer. I'm all set and ready to become a Sansar Content Creator in "Second Life VR Edition" - but the one thing holding me back is support for my headset! -
RobsterRawb Hopefully with the xr standard out now they will adopt it so they only have to deal with one vr api instead of several. (Hint hint)

Loki Eliot What XR Standard? where can i read about this so i can bug the lab with it?

TomahawkJackson This XR Standard...

Pnut Yeah , i'm having the same issue, kinda disappointing but hopefully these devs will get it together and start representing their craft on the premier consumer hmd out , SMH

FlipperPA Yeah, I'm disappointed too. I was a Sansar user on the HTC Vive, and I've upgraded to the Valve Index. For a product that is meant to be "VR first", not supporting the premier headset is a bit baffling, until we pull back the curtain.
I don't have much hope for support being added, given than Sansar has been totally back-burnered: https://nwn.blogs.com/nwn/2019/11/sansar-linden-lab-layoff-social-vr-.html
I've been a long time supporter of Linden Lab (my SL avatar just had its sixteenth rez day two days ago, and I was a founder of the SLCC back in the day). Part of their success has been being able to balance making money and product innovation. Unfortunately, this decision seems to weigh too heavily on the former. When the decision was made to completely decouple Sansar from SL, with no path of migration, I'm afraid it may have doomed Sansar. Now we're seeing the results of that decision.

FlipperPA What a fantastic and unexpected surprise! Thanks for posting this here or I wouldn't have known.

Loki Eliot Still only partial finger tracking with the Index Controllers though. I guess they dunno what what extra fingers might do in Sansar as it would need some considerable thinking and developmental focus on VR.
