It seems after the last update that Windows mixed reality headsets or it may just be the controllers no longer work in game. i've spoken to a few other people who use the same headset as i am and they are having the same issues.

Valium No longer works for me either. The kick in the teeth for me was I built this whole PC and VR headset setup Specifically to get onto Sansar.
I'm sure the Lab is going to figure this out.

MentorOfArisia It's been so frustrating after having it work just fine till recently...!!! :-(
Was it the Windows Mixed Reality recent update or was it a SteamVR recent update that broke it? Was Sansar using some undocumented way to use the controllers via SteamVR? I know that Valve is trying to push their controllers more now too... In SteamVR settings, while my Samsung Odyssey controllers show up and do work, the controller settings page has no knowledge of them! I'm guessing that WMR controllers are not true citizens in SteamVR which then passes on that limitation to applications based on it... just my wild guess!!!

TheTopHatJack I have the same problem. Sansar doesn't see my controllers. The controllers work in other SteamVR apps. Did you find a fix?

Xyraxs i have the same problem, im just hoping they can fix it quickly so i can properly move in there, gets annoying having to use my controller to do so

Valium I posted a fix in the Discord earlier today. Look in there for a WMR_Sansar.zip

MentorOfArisia Thanks to Valium for the fix, and to Lexi Foley for sending the link to download.
But two related questions:
1) Where/what is the discord group that you posted this into so I can join it?
2) Were there instructions provided there? I tried to put the three files in the apparently obvious directory but that did not work any better...

Lexi Foley https://help.sansar.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004806286-Join-Sansar-s-Community-on-Discord
The Discord info, I see its a bit old as the described colours are different now. but there is info to set up your discord account for Sansar, when you got that you can ask @Valium there to "ping" him (I'm not a user of WMR) i was just in the neighbourhood and looked it up! I hope on success for you!

MentorOfArisia Thanks so much, Lexi Foley. I'll try that...

Valium Hey Mentor, the reason I specifically mentioned searching for it in Discord is that the instructions were in the post immediately following the zip file. I'll repeat them here.
You place the 3 files in your Sansar Client directory, in the OpenVR Folder.
if you have the steam version, you need to edit 2 of the files; holographic_hmd.json and holographic_controller.json. These are plain text so notepad is fine.
Find the line"app_key" : "system.generated.sansarclient.exe",
which should be line 3 in both files, and edit it to say"app_key" : "steam.app.250820",again, this is only if you are using the steam version. -
Trew Lane Thank you Valium for posting this. I have been able to download and unpack the three files. I found the directory (using the steam version). After copying the 3 files I changed the line in the two files as instructed.
Sansar did not run in VR at all after that procedure. Only 2D has been available (which has always been working under Windows 10). I uninstalled Sansar using steam and installed it again. It is still not working.
Maybe I will give it a third try installing Sansar without steam once more. But not today. I would really appreciate if there would be native WMR support implemented by the makers of this world that runs seamlessly both with or without steam.

Valium Trew, Are you using a Samsung Odyssey by any chance?
Oh, and try pressing F9 to go into VR. I've had that a couple times, where the prox sensor in the HMD wasn't triggering the switch.
-
Trew Lane Today I joined the discord channel. Did anyone ever play Sansar successfully with WMR recently? I am still very frustrated since I bought a new expensive gaming PC and a super expensive VR headset for Sansar.

Wild-Dog I hope they add WMR support, this is pretty ridiculous.
