In Skye Naturae Virtualis the scene disappears when turning head. I wasn't able to ID a pattern to it but was able to reproduce to get a screen cap.

Galen This is most likely a result of occlusion culling. In this case, your camera probably goes behind some object. The algorithm figures that you couldn't possibly see all the scenery in the distance, so it culls it from the scene temporarily so speed up rendering.
Check to see if your camera is going near or behind rocks, trees, or such. That's likely the proximal cause. The bigger problem is that the occlusion culling algorithm is dodgy. LL describes it as a "black box" that they don't fully understand, either. It's part of a third party package they built into Sansar.

Gindipple This is most likely due to the visual extents of the scene since you seem near the edge. The creator can resolve this by placing some objects out further beyond the scene that are not actually part of the scene but causes the visual extents to be further out to the build routines.

UXMentor Those two screens grabs are from the same exact perspective. If I look to my left (1 degree not 180) it goes from full view to nothing.
Galen, I just checked and I believe you are right...It appears that the camera is passing thru other objects behind me (In this case the cliff) triggering the culling.

Debi Baskerville You've wandered way off the path of where the creator intended you to go. As a consequence, you're experiencing issues the creator most likely did not anticipate when building the experience.
