A friend of mine tried to install Sansar but got this message:
However, the computer has a Core I5-6300 CPU:
As far as I can tell, an I5-6300 is more powerful than an I3-2100.
What gives?

It might be checking the GPU and doesn't like the integrated one, and just has a generic message for hardware it doesn't like. It would be good to hear experiences from people who have tried installing on laptops with an integrated GPU. It looks like the i3-2100 is better than the i5-6300U though. Of course we know that the i5-6300U would still run Sansar fine. I think everyone would agree that it would be really helpful to know what exactly the installer is looking for. The idea of "equivalent or greater" is rather vague considering that most hardware has tradeoffs.
With i5-3230M, but with two GPUs (one integrated, one not) works fine.
Update: The actual issue was not related to the CPU but the fact that the graphics card had too little dedicated memory (128 MB vs. 2 GB).
The following registry edit appears to have solved the problem:
- Go to HKLM\Software\Intel
- Create a new key named "GMM"
- Under that key, add a DWORD value named "DedicatedSegmentSize"
- Set the value to 2048 (decimal)
The error message issued by the installer is of course a bit of a red herring...
