The new object-click feature ("interactions") works like a singular mouse-click event, but it would be nice if one could discriminate between mouse-down and mouse-up events. And, ideally, to track mouse movements if possible. I realize that the 3D nature of this platform confounds computing mouse movements.
One application of this would be a slider control, where it's the panel that detects and reports these actions. I can make a thumb control on top of the panel animate to follow your mouse/hand so you have a visual representation.
I'd also like to make it so with a command, my script can force the current mouse interaction to stop. Equivalent of making you take your finger off the mouse button.
