I think it's wonderful that folks can retexture items in Sansar. I encourage it and I'm starting to include alternate textures as well as UV templates with the items I make.
However, the texture I include in the product listing must always be 600x600, which is not useful as a size for uploading to Sansar. As a result, any person who wants to use any of the texture will have to resize them every time.
How can we fix this? Changing the size to 512x512? Or allowing any size for the supporting images?

Debi Baskerville If a person is savy enough to use your image to make a new texture, I would think they know how to resize said image. I think the best solution though is to provide a link to download the image in a larger format so they can get a properly crisp image to begin with.

Richardus Raymaker Where links not forbidden in the store ?
That rule would already create problems With Creative common.
And a reason why i not put some tings on it. -
Debi Baskerville I've seen links in the store. Galen has a link to his website with instructions for his scripts. I've seen this method used in the SL Marketplace as well.

Whystler Links on store items that link off of the store website has been a hot topic for a number of 3d platforms that have stores. Mostly the company doesn't want to have to police spam, and certainly they would like to keep the customer engaged on the company website without popping away.
I have experience offering textures on a store website, and on an off-store website, and it is always preferred by the customer to be able to grab it quickly from the store.
Also, having to set up images on another website altogether is another step. I would rather spend that time on creating. We all know how time sucking creating and posting store images is.
A 512x512 followup image would be really great, and appreciated if possible.
Thank you for the ideas for workarounds Debi. -
Galen @Debi: I remember that their official policy is that you can't just have random links to advertising stuff. I specifically asked about my case, where the URL is to critical user documentation. They said that seemed fine.
I think they need to chill about this. And make the URLs hyperlinked for the user.

Debi Baskerville I think a 512x512 is too small. Perhaps a 1024 or better a 2048 and then the end user could reduce as needed.

Whystler That would be pie in the sky for sure, and it would have my vote :) As long as it didn't overdo their image storing budget.

Richardus Raymaker I see why sansar not want links to other websites.
But at the same time the not have any options to fix that.- Now we cannot set a license type in the sansar store. ( No links allowed)
- There's no option to set attribution and name with a link to the site with the orginal material. Most a basic requirement in creative common material and important.
This are basic things that are missing in Secondlife. And because sansar is not secondlife the need to add this type of license system as soon as possible. That way buyers can confirm the license by them self. i think it's also a better protection for linden lab if the other website is telling the user that the material have this type of license.

Debi Baskerville In the mean time while LL is working on a solution, perhaps put in your item description that textures are available by contacting you in discord and then you could pass the texture to the person in PM.
