I figured there are enough puppets out there by Ravioli and Ecne, and likely by others, that we would need one of these. I tested it in world, and then took a break from building it to make a scene! :)
Next step - paint job! (Also, a wearable single person fabric puppet theatre is in the works)

Debi Baskerville Nice! I also have a space designated at Scavenger Hunt Park for a puppet theater. I think it's a fun idea.

Whystler Thanks Debi,
I'm working on painting it now. I'm hoping to have two or three paint options to add as catalogue images, so folks can choose a style and change the texture... or use the texture as a template to create their own. Hopefully one of the colour ways will suit your scavenger hunt park! Or if not, you have hella skillz to retexture it :) -
Whystler Paint job gains some headway finally!
I'm learning how to texture paint directly inside of Blender. A frustrating start lost some work until I realized that you had to save the image itself separately. If you save the blender file, it won't save the image you've painted.
Still more panels to decorate, but it's a start... -
Whystler I'm so excited to have found texture painting in Blender. It took forever, especially essentially finger-painting the images on this thing on a 2" x 3" mousing area on my laptop! But, it was well worth the experience. I'm very happy with the outcome.
I got away with cheating a little bit. The side panels, and the two bottom panels are mirrored to the other side. So I only had to paint those once each. -
