After the new update, most of my purchased and created objects now have a thick shine to them. Some objects even look melted like wax. Any way to negate this?

Chris Jackson Yes, those items that are reflecting light sources will need a Roughness map added to the individual objects you don't want to shine.
Find the object you want to add a map to in the list of objects in scene, then right click, select "material" at the bottom, which opens the Material editor. Add texture maps as needed.
Roughness...I use a simple 256x256 white png for a matte finish.

Whystler hmmm ... I think I would prefer to see every item have a default of white for roughness than have to update every item. Most items will be Matte in some fashion, I expect, and they previously saved on not having to load a roughness map. How odd. I wonder if this will be changed.

Horacio This is just another stumbling stone in the creation path. To speed up things, the Materials window in the uploader could offer in drop down option to choose different common textures for glossy, non-glossy, metal, insulator.
