Notecards attached to objects and accessible by scripts

Could we have something like a notecard that we could add to the object and then read/write to from scripts. We could then write to the notecards when a user left the scene or when something of interest changed the object and then another script that ran when the user enters the scene that would read through all the notecards attached to the objects and get the info it needs. I wrote an rudimentary save system in UE4 that worked that way.
