Pivoting menu is dizzying/confusing in VR

Hello, I'm new here, so forgive me if this is a common complaint (I checked but couldn't find it)...

The HUD (with the atlas, etc) in VR mode always pivots in the opposite direction that your head turns... I guess in theory this is done so that your head doesn't need to turn as far? But in practice, it's both dizzying to have the main thing in my field of view making me feel like my head is turning too fast, and also it constantly causes me to overshoot where I'm looking, I have to sway back and forth to get the cursor where it ought to be, as opposed to the simple instinctual gesture of turning and looking towards something.

Is there any way of turning this over-compensation off? I can't be the only one finding it uncomfortable, can I?
