Setting a SoundResource in a Script

I can set a public variable for a SoundResource and then set it with the script properties dialog to a specific wav file in my inventory as it gives me a drop down list of available SoundResources.

I would like to do this in the script instead of using the properties.  I would like to pass it the name of the wav file to play in the program based on events happening in the program and then play that sound.  In other words, how do I assign a sound resource for a specific wav file in a program without using the dialog.  I can't do something like this:

private SoundResource Sound1 = "boom";

because it can't convert the type string to a type SoundResource.

Any ideas on how to set SoundResources for a script without setting them in the properties dialog?
