Store, or Market Place?

I know the difference, but I have found some of the official documentation written by Linden Lab misuses the term Market or Marketplace when they are speaking of the Sansar Store. I suspect this is a symptom of the fact that many of the developers came from working on Second Life.

I would gladly point you to the misused words, but I am concerned that you would consider me a bit too picky. So I remain silent. After all.... we are constantly reminded that Sansar is not SL 2.0. And the Sansar Store is not the marketplace.

Proofreading the material written by Linden Lab is not our place, and a rather basic search for the term Market and Marketplace would surely help you find it.

  Heya! Keen eye - we've adjusted documentation and meeting notes to use store - to keep it consistent with both the URL ( store.sansar.com) and our preferred terminology.

  I think I can help you out here.

  Sansar store, marketplace, market all mean the same thing.

  It is an abstract concept

  A place to shop.

  Call it what ever you want really.

  There is no need to be pedantic about it.

  Something real to chomp on is that you can't update a product for a customer, let alone even know who bought it. That's at least 10 times more important than the name of the place.

  Dang. I was sure it was called the "Sansar Marketplace". But you're right. The menu item is "Store" and the URL is "store.sansar.com". It's in other places that LL calls it "Marketplace". Heh. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'll start using the "correct" term.
