Please give me instructions on how to delete my account, thank you.
I'm really tired of getting emails about this failure of a project as well, and there's no unsubscribe button.
Seems like i'll have to block Sansar and send it to spam folder.
This is ONE MORE EXAMPLE of thin documentation. I would support a candid entry in the Knowledge Base that might go something like this: DELETING YOUR USER ACCOUNT -- "At this time, there is no automated way to process a request to delete your account. You may contact us directly for assistance with deleting your account by submitting a request in an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org."
Throughout the entire life cycle of a product, including during the Open Beta phase, good documentation is critical to long term success.
I'm not sure contacting them helps. I've done that and they just ignore it.
As I said, I already submitted a request a few days ago. Linden Lab ignores them.
Me too please, i want delete my account. Give us instructions
I suspect this is more of a public display of protest of some sort. It's easy to privately submit a support request with the "Submit a request" link on the upper right of every page in this forum.
No, it was not curiosity that brought me here. It was at a request of a friend.
I am unimpressed by everything I found here so will not be back, hence the request for deletion.
And I posted here because - and this is part of why I am unimpressed, there was no other way I could find easily to communicate with anyone. Not wanting to waste any more time here than necessary, I posted.
I was told this cannot be done (typical false user number buffering technique).
Hope that answers all your very wrong assumptions. Now I will try and find the "quit emailing me notices" button. I hope there actually is one and it's not yet another logical item that was "forgotten" in the haste to bring this project into beta being it's over 2 years behind schedule.
you'll be back, but it will be in a few years and you'll have VR sunglasses on.
We are taking care of this for you now and hope to see you again.
Submit a request (up in this page, left of your profile picture).
Its not weekend yet, but official they don't work in weekends, they will get back to you im sure of.
sorry i thought i don't know why but that you send an email for help.
must be Ethos story above, as far as i know i get fast reply when i submit with the button in this forum,, fast , not instant but they will get back to you.
OMG I just review all my credit card, and as lot peoples I come on Sansar by curiosity and what I just notice, Sansar had take 20.05$ canadian money on my credit card pfffff, just for come and try the boring avi we cant not do nothing, so ugly and so slow to dowload the world!!!
Really Linden Lab should put money on the Second Life for keep this world alive, this game it's a real place for create and comunicate with peoples, We do really feel we can have one second life and do somethings new. Since 2 years I had allready spend around 12000$ rl money on second life, it's lot of money but it's my past time favorite, so wy I will put money on one game as sansar so boring!!
I notice to second life he's deying, lot peoples quit this game, and Linden Lab never help creator for reduce price to create nice place for build new world and peoples like to come and pay for buy cloths or other things for keep living as dream on this world. Also wy not put all the water as sailing place...for keep Black See land for sell in hight price?? Really please put more money and time on Second Life, we got allready our second life there....I just want you earase my Sensar account, not worth at all this boring game! And yes I had allready sent request for deleite my account on : email@example.com
Submit a request with the button on top of this page is not sending an email but is creating a ticket in stead. They will get back to you. 20Dollar charge??? i dont understand why "they" would, did you upgrade your subscription or? any way good luck and take care
@Shrantal, sorry to hear of your difficulty. I too enjoy SL but it's not an either or situation here. We love Sansar too and want both places to thrive. Good luck in resolving your issues.
"Sansar had take 20.05$ canadian money on my credit card"
In other words you clicked on something like upgrade subscription service and can't figure out why it costed you money.
And further you probably had to click something like confirm payment action.
Not to mention you had to even give it your credit card number. Which isn't required to just come by and check it out.
I am also seeking a way to delete my account, asking here however seems pointless, as there does not appear to be any useful information, simply assumptions, which in my case are incorrect.
why? because I can not figure out how to do so, and there seems to be no way to get an answer.
Come back? No, no I will not want to come back. Ever. Curiosity? none. I got here by a link for files for creation of objects in a 3d program, in association with tutorials. In no way does this have anything to do with that 3d program, or tutorials for it. One could make a thin and illogical argument that it was intended to show a place than I could import items made in it into this place- which I have no desire to do because I have no desire to be here. so no, no curiosity about this- and arrived here due to a blatantly misrepresented link. Shame.
There is no way I'll ever make a new account.
there is no way I will ever be using VR glasses, the entire effect makes me vomit. no interest at all. If you enjoy it, great, lovely, happy for you. I however want no part of it, or this 'game' that I arrived at due to misrepresentation, and don't wish to ever receive a reminder, e-mail or even general hello in connection to it or this game.
If submit a request works, fine. until it does, and so far it has not, asking here for help seemed valid, I've not bothered to repeat the request because every answer has made it clear no one is interested in helping. Not wanting an account here is not a protest, its simply a matter or personal privacy- which in this case is being handled poorly to say the least. being able to delete an account should be a very basic function of the system. what reason could there be to not allow it? Maybe to hold onto personal data that the person does not wish them to have- like name and e-mail. hm. worth some thought.
Your conclusion seems a little bit to short through the corner. As i do agree this should be made easier and doable by the account holder, for now the way to do it is:(again ;))
File a request with the "submit your request" on top of this page on the left side of your (if you are logged in) name.
And if you don't have a response at the end of this week let us know we might be able to report your concern in Discord. But i can not imagination you are not heard by then... we will see, anyway at the end of the song your account is deleted.
Take it easy, take care and have a little faith. :)
And can we just delete my account and stop the forum emails I get now and then--- It is very annoying that I get these and they remind me that I have not played any 3d fps or 3d game of any kind since december :( it makes me sad the lack of being able to play these games../// I have deleted the other accounts (many) --- my last time I played any game was to unload years of winnings for 1 hour and ended up being sick with nausea for 3 hours after that.,.. last december.. ---// it has been longer with your game.--
this is from the correspondence in a ticket they gave me 3 days to reply to their ticket I replayed 3 days and a few hours beyond that 3 day cut off to reply --- they did not as for any content just to reply and did not say I had 3 days till it was up and they resolved my ticket .. so I am going to open a new ticket --- that I have to be aware when they reply to make the 3 days cut off this time.. I guess it will work right? mmmmm what ever. ===
If no luck with deleting your account you can also unsubscribe from post you follow. @ https://help.sansar.com/hc/en-us/subscriptions
This has been addressed repeatedly in this forum. Submit a ticket and they will close your account. Give it at least a day or two.
Curiosity made me come here, yes. But I was not "charmed" by what I discovered, I prefer stay on the "classic" version of Second Life. Yes, Sansar it's only a Beta Test, and it's still going to evolve, but I make my opinion in the first minutes spent on a game ... on Sansar, the first few minutes didn't convinces me. That is the reason who i want delete my account.
Why indeed. why not just hold on to them... And check back later if you're not satisfied. You're gonna wanna check back anyways..
The same curiosity that brought you here in the first place is gonna drag you back after a while to see what's changed =D
No point in deleting the account then remaking a new one later.
