So a transparent png worked at one point and now does not.
Please please what texture goes in what slot to make this happen now?

Agustine transmissive Emissive, but set emissive to 0...

NorthernKiara OK got it.
I am learning and making progress. :-) -
VR Architect So I may learn too :)
Do we put a minimum 256x256 PNG with transparent alpha channel and assign to Emissive with setting=0? Or is there no emissive texture assigned, use transparent alpha channel in the diffuse and the emissive value is 0?
Lastly, is this working with Blender?
Thanks for the help.

NorthernKiara I've been uploading the textures using the materials settings transmissive emissive slot 1024 size for better resolution. Emissive I set really low at .1, and I don't use Blender so can't help you much there.

Agustine ..you make your transparent png 24bit in photoshop...assign it to your model and once you upload you open your material editor then choose the transparent material on left side...then transmissive + emmisive on top right...set emissive to 0...

Madeliefste Oh The article materials editing and shaders, says:
Standard + Alpha Mask - Very similar to Standard, but allows the use of a black or white alpha mask in order to provide transparency.
But when I select this option, I see no way to upload a mask.
The only way so far I could make a texture transparant is with transmissive + emissive. And then I can even upload an emissive map... but I don't need an emmive map, what I need is a way to define which part of the texture must be transparent, en which part not.
But nowhere I can find an option to make a texture only partly transparent.
I am strungling with a bottle, I want the glass to be transparent, but the label must be 100% non-transparent.
Another minus of working with transmissive + emmisive is that you cannot define how much transparency, it's all or nothing. But some objects need 80% transparency, while other might do well with just 20%.

Ava Verino Hi guys, I am also struggling with transparency in Sansar, I know you need to export web 24 png and apply to the model, I failed and failed over and over.. basically saying in alpha case you NEED to have to import your model with the transparent textures already applied, but what settings do you use to export it and apply? I would say in case of transparency Sansar tutorial is lacking? Or if I missed anything , please let me know..

Fayd Same issue here. Why is there no way to upload a B&W alpha mask and use it for transparency. This is common practice, and should be supported in a PBR based system.
I can't seem to get the Transmissive+Emissive method to work either. I upload the opacity map into the emmisive, set it to 0, but the alpha doesn't work.
I was very excited to start building and using custom modeling in Sansar. I hope this gets resolved. Sansar has been out for years, Second Life for longer (which allows alpha). How has this not been fixed? Cheers.
