My compliments... what experience make an impression to you?

I was thinking it would be nice to compliment creators of a scene on their work. How it feels, looks, physics and sounds... We don't have a whole lot to use for now so all the more reason to give a thumbs up to those who did a lot with little means!

I am also hoping some creators are willing to answer questions on how they made their work look en feel that good... 

So, I would like to compliment UNIT9 on making Monkey Temple. 

Looks amazing, feels like you are in a damp, hot environment and it is build well. I never got stuck anywhere. I feel like I want to spend time there and invite friends. Also very nice to take snapshots.

  I enjoyed riding on the airship in the Zen Garden experience but I wasn't crazy about the ambient noise there. It was a bit much and not very dynamic (too constant) so it felt fake. Maybe it would have been better if the sounds emitted from the airships with some Doppler effect applied.

   

  I didn't get the hot, damp feeling while in Monkey Temple...it was more of a cool misty morning feel to me. It is well built like you said.

   

  I met new friends in both places and would likely visit again.

  are up here in Sansar. - Their places are always worth a visit.

  Graphically, I really enjoyed the look of Garden of Dreams, Dwarven City, Studio Club Karaoke, Addams Environments, Teatime, and The Island. All beautiful scenes!

  Music Collaboration is very cool! Not all keys worked for me, but I like the interactivity and that it begins with an instructional popup menu. 

  Little Giant is fun in the way it plays with scale! Very cool idea to implement two copies of the scene to change the user avatar's size.

  Various Footstep Sounds struck my interest, since changing footstep sounds is something I'd really like to try, but I couldn't get it to work. It's possible it may need to update scripts since the update on the 10th, or it's possible the sounds were just too quiet for me to hear on my poor speakers.

  Lightsaber Academy strikes my interest too. When I eventually get a VR headset, I'll definitely give it a go.

  @Christoph Can you please explain more about that? There is some motor ambience coming from the airships and moves with them. Easier to tell if you're in first-person, though it's not positioned exactly where I'd like it to be due to physics constraints (this was from an earlier workflow, we'll have more flexibility in the future).

  Also, if you go to the garden area with the floating platforms, listen closely and you'll hear that the dripping water and nature sounds don't repeat the same way twice, something you can now do with https://help.sansar.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003263206-Example-Script-Sound-Randomizer :)

  I may be rebalancing other elements soon... it's been awhile.

  @Teager The footstep sounds are pretty subtle, but if you need to turn them up, go to Mix.toml and change the loudness. :)

  I liked Maxwell Graf's "Rune" a lot. I couldn´t explore as long as thought though, because in a cave I went in, I was transported to another Experience, which crashed my viewer while loading. Maybe another time. :)

  Bayswater London

  I've just been Atlas hopping and one experience that I really like is Bayswater London. It's about 20 rows from the bottom. Worth a visit.

  This experience is relaxing, not taxing like some of the more arty experiences, where you go 'what am I looking at, and where do I go?'. 

  Oh, and I love the radio music in Bayswater.

  This experience is near the bottom because it is old, but the creator has been working on it for several months, putting in so much time and effort.  I really hope they do something to fix the atlas.

  I was thinking even a rating system might make things fairer. Highest ratings highest up. But then I guess this can be abused too.
