hi guys,
are terrains supposed to be imported as obj/fbx objects, or is there a special importer or procedure for this? (a more optimal method)
thanks!

You would create your terrain mesh and import it as an object
ok, thanks!!
Hello Erwin...terrains ate imported as fbx and large terrains as best practice are imported as tiles..for example, 1024x4 = 4096 ...low cost terrain software that supports tiled terrain is https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.bundysoft.com/L3DT/&ved=0ahUKEwjg25r2mYjVAhXigVQKHW3jD0sQFgggMAA&usg=AFQjCNFcwCsoMeNSFHMlgI9n1ZoK3Ty6xQ
Thanks Agustine! Hi Erwin, As an example, If you create a large 1 km square terrain mesh, uploading and later effective culling optimization is aided by first cutting the large mesh up into 128m square pieces. Trying to bring it up as one chunk will take a long time and can intermittently fail if there are any connectivity issues. Feel free to contact us in Sansar supoort if you need any help.
