I always see shadows on the ground coming from the same angle overhead while there is often a sun or moon in the surrounding sky. This is a bit disorienting. The sky should have a specific location or address for the light source such as sun or moon. And the shadows should conform to that light source.

gfcprogramer yes this definitively limit our creativity. Even with skybox distance settings, its hard to find a good point to set a environment light.
I cheated on this, Ethos, I placed a very high intense light inside a reverse normals sphere out there in my "floating stones".
This is good because like a real moon. But I had to put a big effort there to make the best dark stars skybox without moon, that does not shine, so I can crank up the exposure bias, so that the glare of stones and moon takes its best..
